Please explain why when you SEE your shadow it means 6 more weeks of winter. I know you get scared and run back in your hole for 6 more weeks, but it seems to me IF you see your shadow the SUN IS OUT and winter is coming to an end...
I'm sure you were serious but, something about the way you wrote this post made me laugh out loud. Maybe it's the serious intellectual conversation you are portraying...with a groundhog! Thanks for the giggle and no, I can't answer it for ya either. You'll have to take it up with the hog!! :)
ah yes, this one has never made sense to me. i thought whomever decided to base our fate of winter/spring on the groundhog should have been a bit more intellegent and realized this way does not make sense.

I've never understood how a groundhog could determine what the weather was going to be either.
