We did the Walk for the Cure on Sat May 7th. The plan was to do a 5K walk. We ended up going an extra mile because we went the wrong way. It wasn't our fault though, they had poor signage if you ask me. They had a sign for walkers and a sign for runners. Of course we lined up in the walkers area and took off when they said GO! Before we knew it they were offering us water, which is odd, we just started. Then we they were saying your half way there. What??? We looped back around and were back at the finish line. That's when it dawned on us, we went the wrong way! Everyone else was going the other direction from the finish line, so we kept going. Of course by now we were behind everyone else, and had to weave our way through the crowds.
We finish 4.1 miles in 1 hour and 9 mins.
We have a 10K this Sat.
