This was my 2nd time seeing U2, but this time around Lenny Kravitz was opening so it was that much better!
The concert was outside in the Oakland Coliseum, which I thought was totally cool to be at an outside concert. We had GREAT seats, 12 rows back from the pit.
Paul and I waiting for the show to start
First up Lenny – he has a new album out in Aug.
Pic of the stage while we were waiting for U2 to take the stage.
The big screen at the top expanded with really cool digital effects
After the concert all 69,000 people had to cross the same overpass to get to transportation. It was crazy. That many people trying to funnel through the same place...needless to same it too awhile to cross the street.

Thanks for coming out! I hope you enjoyed your belated bday present! That was the best concert ever...
Top few things I'll always remember:
1. Using five, yes five, laptops to buy those tickets.
2. Being one year younger when I bought those tickets in the first place.
3. $8 chicken nachos that were the best ever.
4. Surviving and surfing through the sea of humanity on that pedestrian bridge.
5. Trying to text and MMS pictures but having the network jammed with 69,000 people!
6. Jumping up and down while singing our hearts out for 2 hours!!
"Uno, dos, tres, catorce! Hello...hello! Hola!!"
7. Taking some awesome pix with that Nikon mega zoom.
and last but not least......
8. Trying to convince you that this concert also counts as this year's birthday present! I gave you Lenny!! Wahhhhhhh
That looks like a really entertaining concert. I like outside concerts myself.
Wow! No wonder concerts elsewhere are so expensive!
