The bear was actually in The Grand Tetons.
Here’s what went down. We’d been in Yellowstone and had seen just about EVERY animal (including wolves!) there was to see, but we hadn’t seen a bear. And we REALLY wanted to. While driving through The Grand Tetons we saw a sign that told us to slow down because there was a bear with cubs. We got excited at the possibilities. Then we round a bend and saw a BUNCH of cars…we KNEW there was a bear.
By the time we got there the bear had gone into the bushes so know one knew when and if it might come back. But we decided to way for a while just in case. All of the sudden you hear this elk charging through the bushes…at first we thought it was just an elk. Then out comes a grizzly chasing it full speed. It was actually much closer than it looks in the video. It was a little scary to be honest but TOTALLY AWESOME!!!! My heart was pounding.
The elk got away of course, but all the sudden 3 little cubs coming bounding through the grass. They were so cute and I can’t believe she has 3 cubs!!
