Meet the new and improved Pocket Ninja! He will be our trusty mascot at Comic-Con. He’s a little bigger than the prior ninja, but he’s a heck of a lot funnier! I can’t wait to see what adventures he will have in San Diego this July.

What else I’m doing
No I’m not just planning parties or going on trips…though it kind of seems like it. I’m going to school full-time too. So that is taking up MUCH of my time and I LOVE it! I also just signed up to play softball for the first time in YEARS. We will see how that goes. Life is very busy right now, but good.

GOING TO COMIC-CON!!

I am SOOOO excited. I’ve been wanting to go for a few years now and can’t wait. The tickets went on sale Sat morning and were sold out in less then an hour and a half. It’s in San Diego, Jul 11- Jul 15.
Comic-Con started out as a comic book convention but has morphed into all things pop culture movies/tv with a side of comics. This is the place wear people dress in costume. This is where fanboy and fangirls alike can be free to embrace their geekness without shame. Yep, I’m going and can’t wait…BUT I’M NOT WEARING A COSTUME. I have a couple t-shirts though! And I hear there is LOTS of free swag!

Not sure what what I will see, but I know what I hope to see. They haven’t released the list of movie, shows, etc going yet. But based on years past, I have a pretty good idea what who will be there and am stocked. I’m also going to be meeting many of the Team Jack girls. It should be a great time; I can’t wait!
Another TwiParty
This time it was a party for the Breaking Dawn DVD release. I was really pleased with how the decorations came out for this one. Here’s pics of the decorations, if you haven’t read the books or watched the movies they probably won’t mean anything to you.
These pics are prior to lighting effect.
After lighting done.
Yep even in the bathroom.

Chinese New Year Parade
I went to San Fran a couple weeks ago for the Chinese New Year Parade. Totally loved it, but it was COLD. Here are some random photos.
Pic of how crowded it was.
These are giant Lion Dancer heads. The Lion Dancers are my favorite.
Pictures from the parade. The videos didn’t really come out so you will have to settle for these.

Christmasy things
I’ve been majorly getting rid of (donating) things this past year and my storage was all organized so I just couldn’t bring myself to pull everything else and put up the regular tree. Instead I opted for going to the dollar store and getting a small 4’ tree and some decorations. Yep it’s gold and I LIKE IT!!.
Paul came out and we went to the Winter Garden a Glow at the Idaho Botanical Gardens. It was really cool. They changed most of the lights to LED and they looked amazing! Plus you get free hot chocolate and cookies!
My fav lights were little flowers and leaves. They put them on the trees to look like blossoms.
We also went to Idaho Skate World to go ice skating. I haven’t done been since I was a kid and that was only once. I’m proud to say I didn’t fall. It was dicey a couple times though. I even let go of the railing!

Google is paying off!!
I mentioned I was on twitter a lot working on a blog and helping Jack Morrissey with Breaking Dawn tweets (FYI the blog and JM are two different things BUT intersect on occasion) Anyway, I got my first check from Google for doing my entertainment/gossip blog. It’s not much but hey, I’m not complaining! If I get paid for a hobby, then I’m a happy camper.
I get paid by people clicking on ads and # of visits to the site. It’s taken a while, but I’m finally starting to get a regular following. Today, I’ve had over a 1,000 visitors but normally it’s between 400-500 a day.
The Jack Morrissey thing is way fun too. I got my Bill Condon autograph copy of US Weekly’s Special Breaking Dawn edition. Again this is something VERY exciting to me. I LOVE Bill Condon.
I’ve got some plans for the blog/twitter/tumblr for 2012. Hopefully it will continue to be fun and who knows what else…
PS … my girlfriends and I went to the midnight premier of Breaking Dawn…because yeah we are THOSE people
