A Killer Concert

Last Friday Paul took me to The Killers concert (he's been trying to get me into The Killers for sometime now) and it ROCKED! I was totally blown away and became their newest fan...or Victim as their fan club is called.

For those who don't know, The Killers released their first album in 2004 and they are hugely popular in Europe. One fact you might find interesting, the lead singer, Brandon Flowers, is a member of the Church. He even named his first son Ammon. He's said in many interviews how his faith is important to him and influences his lyrics. But they doesn't mean the band sounds like Donny Osmond! They are a pop/alternative/rock band that has sold millions of records world wide.

The concert was AWESOME, even though the venue was small and not meant for rock concerts The Killers were GREAT. They played as though they were playing in front of tens of thousands, just not a few thousand. Before going to the concert I liked a couple songs they played on the radio, but that was about it. But there was something about the energy of the music and the beat pounding in your chest. It was infectious, the music came alive!. I loved and fell in love with the band.

We had such a great time we almost took a spontaneous road trip the next night to watch them in Salt Lake. We would have too if we'd just thought of it a couple hours earlier!

I first heard of these guys when we just moved to Seattle in '03 and LOVED them! i had a secret crush on Brandon UNTIL he decided to sport that ridiculous stash for their '06 album. whats the deal with mustaches!! anywhos...KILLERS FAN all around. I 1st heard that he was a member of the church when I read an article with him while he was sitting at a bar smoking a cig. but hey, who are we to judge. :)

Yeah he admits he has struggles, particularly living on the road. But he says he tries to do right and believes what he belives. He actually said it better than that.
