APN – Under the Sea

use  How now Ninja fans. Today I trekked in steamy heat to famous Pike’s Fish Market.  Oddly enough the first thing I encountered at the fish market was a GIANT brass piggy bank.  Tourists, such as myself put coins and bills in the pig for charity.  Unfortunately, ninja pockets aren’t big enough to carry change, so I could not contribute.  Next time for sure!
use2  Next stop was a fish monger that threw fish!

Here’s a shot of some of the deadliest catch!  Too richy rich for my blood.  Looks like these crabbies met up with other ninjas before I showed up. Pow Pow!

After walking around the fish market,  I decided it would be a good idea to see the fish in their natural habitat. Along the way I came across this alley.

You may notice the brick looks a little different than most.  This caught my ninja eye and upon closer examination I came to realize the alley way is COVERED in GUM.  Yes, people take the gum they have been chewing and put it on the walls here.  I’m not sure why, but by the looks of things they’ve been doing it for decades!

I made it to the aquarium.  Here I am sitting among a large gathering of starfish.  I don’t speak starfish so I’m not quite sure what they were talking about.  I’m sure it had something to do with what a cool ninja I am.  You know what I’m saying?

After awhile I decided the best way to view the fish in their natural habit was to join them, so I went swimming!

I do speak giant puffer fish; he says, “Hello out there!”

I even took some time to feed the fish, including a really cool and HUNGRY wolf eel.  If you look really close at the picture, he’s trying to get in the bag.
As you can see there are sharks in these waters and I got a little too close.  It was quite the struggle, but using all my ninja skills, including the newly acquired octpi forms, I was able to escape unscathed.

Since I was still hurting a little from my shark battle, I decided to head back up above the water.  I met up with this harbor seal. He kept asking, “Do I look fat?”  The sea otters kept trying to tell me how great their tummies are as tables.  Apparently they eat all their meals off their tummies. I observed them de-shelling shrimp like real pros!

This puffin almost tried to eat me, but I gave him the ol’ pow pow!
Next I found a lovely place for dinner, but I no seafood for me.  I had a enough for one day.   I even ordered dessert.  I think I deserved it after my harrowing adventure.

I dream of living near a place where I can get fresh fish. Though they usually do smell.
