Swimming with honu was both heart pounding and enlightening. The water near the shoreline was murky and the current was strong. I was struggling to get my bearings in the water when all the sudden I came face to face with a honu. I mean literally his face was an inches from my snorkel mask! I was so startled! I took me a minute to get back into the water, but I was rewarded for my courage. The great honu was playful and we swam around together for over an hour! He even brought in some of his friends.
After a long chat, the Great Honu told me where to find Kali. I jumped into my trusty Beetle and made one last snorkel stop before heading to Waikiki.

After saying goodbye to my new friends from under the sea, I packed up my gear, checked out of the resort and headed back to Honolulu for my last shot of finding the elusive hula girl. First stop was Pearl Harbor.
Here is the USS Arizona Memorial and a battleship:
I thought I heard incoming Zero Sen bombers(the famous Mitsubishi fighter bomber), so I jumped into an anti-aircraft gun, but alas that was just Edward moaning and groaning about some chick he was missing and couldn't wait to get back home to. Frankly, it was quite annoying..."Bella this, Bella that...Who cares I say!!"
This is the USS Bowfin, a submarine.
After that last stop, I headed to the Diamondhead overlook to see if Kali was still sightseeing. Apparently, on a good day you can see Maui from the lookout. I drove all the way up but found no parking because the lot was closed!
On the way down, I saw a flash of red in the corner of my eye! Who did I spy? Kalipokelookiono! The reunion was ever so nice. She remembered me from that faithful day on the beach. “You’re that ninja drinking out of the coconut, aren’t you?” she laughed.
We spent the day at the beach together and enjoyed one last sunset. After doing some last minute junko bunko shopping for trinkets and macadamia nuts, Edward and I headed to the airport. Kali and I shared our final goodbyes under the warm hues of the sunset. “It’ll never work between us” I said sadly. “Ninja's don't surf.”
“It was fun while it lasted” Kali laughed. “You can always come to visit me on a beach in Hawaii. Aloha!”
So my ninjas, that ends this year’s great Pocket Ninja Adventure.Stay tuned for a highlights reel.
